About the shop ...

At Isobel The Florist we have an experienced and friendly floristry team and a huge range of fresh flowers and foliages, gifts and home style ideas. The shop is light, airy and spacious ...ideal to browse and take in the beautiful fragrances, colours and creative atmosphere. We have an open work room, where you can see "whats going on!" this may be conditioniong flowers on arrival from the whoesaler, funeral tributes being made, handtieds, arrangements or wedding creations large and small.

There are fairy gardens,leaf fairy and accessories dotted around the shop, these bring a smile to everyones face,  and will let your imagination fly!...available for you to purchase.

One to one and group workshops take place throughout the year, these can be arranged and customised to suit your group or personal requirements.

We offer an extensive delivery area and  will be pleased to quote for any requirement and of course give expert advice where it is needed. There is always a beautiful range of designs, from understated seasonal bunches, to dramatic wow factor designs in both contemporary and classic styles to suit your mood and budget.

 

About Isobel

Isobel is a skilled florist with many years experience. Her passion for flowers and plants began at an early age trailing up and down the garden after her dad, who was him-self a dedicated gardener and flower lover….As a teenager, a year at Broomfield college studying Horticulture was followed by a 3 year course at The Welsh College of Horticulture studying Floristry and Flower production.

Over the next few years Isobel gained a wealth of experience working in different shops, teaching floristry at Broomfield College engaged in training and development in the industry. During this time Isobel was able to attend the European School of Floristry, visiting many flower and plant growers in the UK and Holland on many occasions, and also gain the Society of Floristry Diploma and National teaching certificates. Isobels love and passion for flowers continues...

Her first shop opened in Melbourne, south Derbyshire, in 1999 and a second followed at Chester Green, Derby in 2001.  In 2014 Isobel  moved from Chester Green to open a new Florist shop in Breaston, Derbyshire.

Isobel the Florist is now trading solely from her beautiful shop in Breaston.
